Leones Napoleones began as a family baking business in Bacolod in 1996. Long before the Leones name appeared on its own boxes, the family worked behind the scenes supplying Napoleones to established local pasalubong businesses.
The bakery began supplying Pendy’s in 1999, and worked with other local pasalubong businesses in the years that followed. These years helped shape the family’s standards for the pastry: delicate layers, balanced sweetness and the consistency expected of a Bacolod pasalubong staple.
Becoming an independent Bacolod brand
When the pandemic disrupted the family’s supplier relationships in 2020, Leones began selling directly under its own name. What had been a largely behind-the-scenes bakery became an independent brand, allowing customers to order directly and learn more about the people and history behind each box.
Leones later operated a Manila airfreight service that brought Bacolod Napoleones to customers outside Negros. That chapter is part of the brand’s growth, but regular Manila flights are no longer part of the standard service.
